MSRTC Halts Fare Hike Ahead Of Polls, Lowering Travel Costs For Festive Season

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has scrapped its planned 10% fare increase set for October and November, as announced on October 14. This decision, made ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, provides relief for passengers traveling during festive season. MSRTC directed regional heads to halt the fare hike, which aimed to generate ₹70-80 crore in revenue.
