Meta & Indian Govt Strike Agreement To Promote Open-Source AI

Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, has partnered with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to promote open-source AI under the ‘IndiaAI’ initiative. They announced the launch of Srijan, a Centre for Generative AI at IIT Jodhpur, along with the ‘YuvAI Initiative’ for skill development in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
