Bengaluru police registered an FIR against Malayalam director Ranjith Balakrishnan following a sexual assault allegation by a 31-yr-old man. The incidents, reportedly occurring in Dec 2012, involved coercion and non-consensual acts at the Taj Hotel. The complainant alleges Ranjith took compromising photos and used them for threats. The case was transferred to Bengaluru after jurisdictional verification.
