List of Bank Holidays in January 2024 across India

All private or public sector banks will remain closed across the country for New Year celebrations on Monday, January 1, 2024. In this regard, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has declared a list of bank holidays across India.

The full list of bank holidays in January 2024 is: January 1 (Monday): New Year across India, January 11 (Thursday): Missionary Day celebrated in Mizoram, January 12 (Friday): Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebrated in West Bengal, January 13 (Saturday): Lohri celebrated in Punjab and other states, January 14 (Sunday): Makara Sankranti celebrated in many states, January 15 (Monday): Pongal celebrated in Tamil Nadu, AP, and other states, and January 16 (Tuesday): Tusu Puja celebrated in West Bengal and Assam.

In addition, a number of states celebrate Guru Govind Singh Jayanti on January 17 (Wednesday), Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti on January 23 (Tuesday), Republic Day on January 26 (Friday) throughout India, and Me-Dam-Me-Phi on January 31 (Wednesday) in Assam.
