Kolkata Airport has made history by accommodating the Airbus Beluga XL, the largest in its series, for the first time. Landing on Tuesday from Bahrain, the aircraft was honored with a water salute. Originating from Airbus’s Toulouse factory, it carries essential aircraft components to Tianjin, China. The Beluga XL is designed for oversized cargo, making Kolkata the only suitable airport in Eastern India.
