Karnataka Renames All Residential Schools As Maharishi Valmiki Schools

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah on Thursday declared that all govt residential schools in the state will be renamed Maharishi Valmiki Residential Schools. Furthermore, Raichur University will also be rebranded as Maharishi Valmiki University. In honor of the legendary poet’s birth anniversary, various state govts have declared a public holiday for schools, colleges, banks, and govt offices.
