Telangana junior college lecturers have objected to the Dussehra holidays, with Syed Zabi, State President of the Government Minority Lecturers Association, demanding an increase in the holiday duration for junior colleges. Dussehra, celebrated with great devotion by adults, children, and especially women, coincides with Bathukamma, the biggest festival for Hindus in Telangana.
