J&K Assembly Polls: Three Women Candidates Win

Three women candidates, including former minister Sakeena Masood from the National Conference, won elections to the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Tuesday. Sakeena secured 36,623 votes, defeating Gulzar Ahmed Dar by 17,449 votes in D H Pora. BJP’s Shagun Parihar won the Kishtwar seat, and Shamim Firdous, also from the National Conference, defeated BJP’s Ashok Kumar Bhat in Habbakadal.
