Israel Confirms Death Of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah’s Heir Apparent

Israel confirmed on Tuesday the death of Hashem Safieddine, the heir to late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, in an airstrike three weeks ago in Beirut’s southern suburbs. Safieddine was targeted in an operation against the Iran-backed group, said the Israeli military. Earlier, Israel had suggested he was likely killed, but Hezbollah has yet to respond to the announcement.
