Considering the current conflict between Israel and Hamas, the Indian government advised its citizens living in Israel to relocate to safe areas within the nation. The Indian Embassy in Israel stated on social media that all Indian nationals staying in Israel are encouraged to relocate to safe places due to the current security situation and local safety advisories.
He also noted that this advisory is especially important for individuals who work in or visit border areas in the north and south. He further stressed that India remains in touch with the Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all Indian nationals.
The Indian Embassy also included a helpline number and email address for support and clarification in his social media post. Along with this, he also provided the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel’s hotline number.
The warning from the Indian embassy was issued a day after an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon damaged an orchard close to Margaliot, a village bordering Israel’s northern region, killing one Indian citizen and injuring two more. The three victims belonged to Kerala.
Officials stated that the deceased was identified as 31-year-old Pat Nibin Maxwell from Kollam, Kerala. The two injured people were identified as Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin from Kerala.
