India To Acquire Predator Drones & Build Submarines To Boost Defense Forces

The Union Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by Prime Minister Modi, has approved the purchase of Predator drones from the U.S. to enhance the surveillance capabilities of the armed forces. At least 2 submarines will be constructed at the shipbuilding center in Visakhapatnam at a cost of ₹45,000 crores. It is reported that 31 MQ-9B Predator drones will be acquired.
