India Records Warmest October Since 1901, Predicts Warmer November

India experienced its warmest October since 1901, with a mean temperature of 26.92 degrees Celsius, 1.23 degrees above normal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra attributed this to the lack of western disturbances and easterly winds from low-pressure systems in the Bay of Bengal, predicting a warmer November ahead.
