According to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Srivaru devotees without the SSD tokens will have to wait 12 hours for Sarvadarshan, and at least 22 compartments have been filled so far.
The TTD reports that on Thursday, 18,924 devotees were tonsured and 57,357 devotees received darshan. Also disclosed by TTD was Tirumala Hundi’s earning of 3.52 crore on February 8.
Meanwhile, the auspicious Ratha Saptami will be celebrated in Tirumala temple on the occasion of Surya Jayanti on Friday, February 16, 2024. However, Ratha Saptami marks the gradual increase in temperature across South India and awaits the arrival of the spring season.
On the other side, the prestigious 7-day Teppotsavam of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple will be performed from February 17–23, 2024. The main deities bless devotees on the specially decorated float and will parade on all four Mada streets during the auspicious Teppotsavam.
