The Himachal Pradesh fisheries department has imposed a four-month ban on trout fishing from November 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, across 600 km of rivers. This measure aims to promote breeding and conserve resources during the natural breeding season. A dedicated monitoring force will ensure compliance, with departmental employees’ leaves canceled for enforcement.
