India has established 60 new medical colleges in a year, increasing the total from 706 to 766, marking an 8.07% rise, according to Union Health Minister JP Nadda. MBBS seats grew by 6.30%, from 108,940 to 115,812, while postgraduate seats rose by 5.92%. JP Nadda also announced the resolution of land issues for AIIMS Darbhanga, enhancing access to affordable healthcare in the region.
