Government Boosts Onion Supply Via Rail To Control Prices

The government has intensified onion supplies, delivering 840 tonnes to Delhi railway station as part of a strategy to stabilize prices. This follows a previous shipment of 1,600 tonnes. Onions will be sold at Rs 35 per kg in Azadpur Mandi, amid rising retail prices of Rs 60-80. Rail transport aims for efficient distribution, with additional consignments heading to other regions to maintain price stability.
