White House Says Trump Opposed Israel’s Qatar Strike

The White House distanced itself from Israel’s strikes in Doha, stressing Trump’s support for ally Qatar. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump felt “very badly” about the attack’s location and assured Qatar it won’t recur. Trump, informed beforehand, had envoy Steve Witkoff alert Qatar and later spoke separately with Netanyahu and Emir Tamim.
