A Village In Maharashtra Plans To Hold Re-Election

Residents of Markadwadi village in Maharashtra’s Solapur plan a re-vote using ballot papers after dissatisfaction with the Election Commission’s results in the recent Assembly polls. In Malshiras, NCP’s Uttam Jankar defeated BJP’s Ram Satpute, but the EC’s data showed Satpute received more votes in Markadwadi. Villagers, mainly MVA supporters, are conducting the re-vote to verify the count.
