Rains Trigger Flooding In HYD’s Osmansagar & Himayatsagar

Flooding has resumed in Hyderabad’s Osmansagar and Himayatsagar due to heavy rains, causing a surge in the Musi River. Both Himayatsagar and Gandipet reservoirs are receiving 250 cusecs of inflow each. In response, Water Board officials have opened one gate at Himayatsagar and two gates at Gandipet to manage the rising water levels.
