Court Issues Deadline To Punjab Over Health Of Fasting Farmer Leader

Farm activists at the Khanauri border have heightened security, fearing the Punjab government may attempt to hospitalize fasting leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. To the state, the Supreme Court gave the time until December 31 to persuade him to seek medical care. Dallewal, 67, has been fasting since November 26 over MSP demands.
