Ex-Tamil Nadu Congress President EVKS Elangovan Passes Away

Ex-Tamil Nadu Congress President EVKS Elangovan passed away at 75 on Saturday in a Chennai hospital. He had been undergoing intensive treatment for a lung-related issue for over 2 weeks. Elangovan served as the MLA for Erode East and previously represented the Gobichettipalayam Lok Sabha seat. He was also the Textiles Minister under PM Manmohan Singh from 2004-2009.
