Nearly 72% Of Air India Group Aircraft Flagged For Repetitive Defects

Government data told Lok Sabha that nearly 72% of Air India Group aircraft checked showed repetitive defects. Of 267 Air India and Air India Express planes analysed, 191 had recurring issues. Across six airlines, 377 of 754 aircraft were flagged. DGCA conducted audits, inspections and ramp checks, while boosting sanctioned technical posts to strengthen oversight.
