Centre Extends Deadline For Manipur Violence Inquiry Till May 2025

Centre has extended the deadline for the Commission of Inquiry investigating the violence in Manipur until May 20, 2025. The commission, led by former Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Ajai Lamba, was set up on June 4, 2023. It is tasked with probing the causes and spread of the violence that began on May 3, 2023, which has claimed 258 lives.
