TN Surpasses Gujarat, Maharashtra In Textile Exports

Tamil Nadu has become India’s leading textile exporter, shipping goods worth USD 7,997.17 million in 2024-25, a 29% rise over four years. Chief Minister M K Stalin said TN has overtaken Gujarat and Maharashtra, contributing 21.84% to India’s total textile exports of USD 36,610 million, driven by government schemes and planned initiatives.
