Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the ‘Shraddhanjali’ scheme to ensure the dignified return of the mortal remains of Assam residents who die outside the state. The initiative aims to support grieving families during difficult times. It will be implemented by the Home and Political Department in coordination with Assam Police.
