Stock Market Closing: Sensex And Nifty Rise Over 2% In Strong Finish Over Weekend

Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 closed higher, rising 2.54% and 2.39%, respectively, fueled by broad-based buying. The Sensex gained 1,961.32 points, reaching 79,117.11, while Nifty50 rose 557.35 points to 23,907.25. Gains were led by SBI, Titan, and TCS, while Nifty IT outperformed. Sectoral indices, except Media, ended in the green, with Realty and FMCG sectors also gaining.
