The Calcutta HC granted interim protection to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, directing police not to take coercive action till July 31. The court allowed the probe to continue, asked him to cooperate, and mandated 48-hour notice for questioning. It warned that non-cooperation could lead investigators to seek further directions. The matter will be heard after July 31.
