Medaram Mahajatra Set To Start With Sacred Ceremony

The Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Mahajatra will begin tomorrow. Before the festival starts, they will hold the Shuddhi Panduga purification ceremony. On Wednesday, priests will collect leaves and branches from the forest, bring them to Sammakka temple in Medaram, place them on a platform for purification, and then start the main worship rituals.
