Centre To Deploy 10,000 More Soldiers To Violence-Hit Manipur

Centre will deploy over 10,000 additional soldiers to Manipur, raising the total number of central force companies in the state to 288. Manipur Security Adviser Kuldiep Singh confirmed that 90 more companies, or about 10,800 personnel, would be sent to the state, which has been affected by ethnic violence, with the total now at 288 companies.
