Nepal’s Janakpur Gears Up For ‘Sita Ram Vivah Mahotsav’

Nepal’s Janakpur is gearing up for the ‘Sita Ram Vivah Mahotsav’ with tight security and a citywide makeover featuring Ramayana-themed murals. Lord Ram’s wedding procession from Ayodhya reached Janakpur on November 26. Wedding rituals will occur from December 4-6, followed by ‘Kalevar’ on Dec 7 and the return of the ‘baraat’ to Ayodhya on Dec 9.
