The Centre opposed climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s request to appear via video from Jodhpur jail in the Supreme Court. Wangchuk, detained under the National Security Act after September Leh violence, is challenged by his wife’s plea calling the detention arbitrary. The court will hear the matter further on December 15.
