Fire Breaks Out Near Tracks In Bengal, Trains Disrupted

A fire engulfed shanties beside the Akra Santoshpur railway station on the Sealdah-Budge Budge line of Eastern Railway today, disrupting services. 4 fire engines were deployed to douse the blaze. No injuries were reported. Power to overhead traction was cut immediately. Passenger and goods train services were suspended as a precautionary measure on the route.
