EC Removes Observer In Bengal Citing Lack Of Knowledge

The Election Commission today recalled Anurag Yadav, general observer for Cooch Behar Dakshin in West Bengal, for lacking basic information about his constituency. During a briefing, he could not state the number of polling stations. EC immediately removed him, noting that observers work as the commission’s eyes and ears in poll-bound states.
