Orange Alert Has Been Issued In Chennai As Heavy Rains Persist

An orange alert has been issued for Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, and Chengalpattu as heavy rainfall persists for three days. A low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal may intensify into Cyclone Fengal, moving towards Tamil Nadu. Schools in Chennai, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram are closed on Wednesday. Intermittent rain since last night continues with heavy downpours this morning.
