Kim Hyun-Tae, head of South Korea’s 707th Special Missions Group, has apologized for deploying troops to the National Assembly, triggering public outrage after President Yoon Suk Yeol’s emergency martial law declaration on Dec 3. He expressed deep regret, stating, “I am an incompetent and irresponsible commander.”
