Venezuela Says Russia Backs It Against US Pressure

Venezuela said Russia has expressed full support as the country faces a US blockade of sanctioned oil tankers in the Caribbean. Foreign Minister Yvan Gil said Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov reaffirmed Moscow’s solidarity with President Nicolas Maduro and the Venezuelan people amid what Caracas described as hostile actions by Washington.
