Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Orders Retention Of Ration Cards For Poor

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has instructed Food Department officials to retain ration cards for poor families, following reports that 22.6 lakh Below the Poverty Line (BPL) cardholders were deemed ineligible. He warned that action would be taken against officials if cards were cancelled without valid reasons. The state had identified ineligible BPL cardholders after a recent survey.
