Polling for the Bodoland Territorial Council elections started at 7:30 am today across five districts in Assam: Baksa, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Tamulpur, and Udalguri. A total of 316 candidates are contesting 40 seats amid tight security arrangements. Voting will continue until 4 pm to determine the region’s next leadership.
