Sanjay Malhotra Assumes Office As RBI’s 26th Governor

Sanjay Malhotra assumed office as the 26th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on December 11, 2024, for a three-year term. He succeeds Shaktikanta Das, who completed a six-year tenure. Previously serving as revenue secretary, Malhotra takes on the leadership role to guide India’s central banking operations.
