In Gujarat’s Patan district, 15 2nd-year MBBS students were arrested for allegedly causing the death of 1st-year student Anil Methaniya due to ragging. The accused made juniors stand for over 3 hours, subjecting them to physical and mental torture. Methaniya collapsed and died after the ordeal. The students were charged with culpable homicide and suspended from college pending further investigation.
