‘2.75 Lakh Phone Numbers Disconnected, ₹4,000 Crore Cyber Fraud Averted’

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted govt efforts to combat cyber fraud and telecom security issues. He noted that a cyber fraud network set up by the Home Ministry had prevented fraud worth ₹4,000 crore and saved nearly 10 lakh in public money. The telecom sector disconnected 2.75 lakh phone numbers and blacklisted 10,000 headers using a dedicated app.
