Telangana’s Anthem Poet Ande Sri Passes Away

Renowned Telangana poet Ande Sri, author of the state anthem “Jaya Jayahe Telangana,” passed away in Hyderabad at 64. Born in 1961 in Siddipet, he rose from adversity to become a celebrated lyricist, winning a Nandi Award and state honors. Telangana leaders praised his monumental contributions to literature, culture, and the statehood movement.
