In Chennai, an auto-rickshaw driver named Sekar killed 50-year-old Gowri and injured her husband, Mari, following a quarrel days earlier. The woman had allegedly hit him with a slipper after he confronted her about urinating near his sleeping spot. Sekar attacked the couple while they were selling vegetables. Gowri died from her injuries, and Sekar was arrested.
