Diabetes Prevalence In Jammu Region Reaches 18.9%, Urgent Action Needed

A study led by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) reveals that the overall prevalence of diabetes in the Jammu region is 18.9%, with urban areas seeing a striking 26.5% and rural areas at 14.5%. Additionally, 10.8% of the population is affected by pre-diabetes, highlighting the urgent need to address the rising burden of non-communicable diseases in the region.
