3.3 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Tibet Today

A 3.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in Tibet today. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 5 km.  Shallow earthquakes are more dangerous than deep earthquakes, as shallow earthquakes have a shorter distance to travel to the surface and trigger stronger ground shaking, causing more damage to structures and casualties.
