The explosion outside a CRPF Public School in Delhi was a directional blast and the explosive was positioned in a manner to create a shockwave effect, as per sources. The solid or liquid explosive material, in such cases, is converted to very hot, dense and high-pressure gas, sources said. The explosion was heard at least 2 kms away from the site.
