A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Kolkata today, with tremors felt across West Bengal and neighboring regions. The epicenter was reported in Bangladesh, while EMSC data placed it about 70 miles east of Akyab in Myanmar at a depth of 10 km, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences. No casualties or damage were reported.
