Two children in Sikar fell unconscious after taking a prescribed cough syrup. Three have died in Rajasthan, and nine in Madhya Pradesh. The Rajasthan state has suspended all 19 medicines made by Kaysons Pharma and suspended its drug controller. An investigation is underway, and stricter warnings for paediatric cough syrups have been issued.
