Himachal Offers 180-Day Maternity Leave To Home Guards

Himachal CM Sukhvinder Sukhu announced 180-day maternity leave for women Home Guards and a ₹500 daily allowance for out-of-state deployments. At the Home Guards Raising Day, he unveiled plans for 700 new posts, SDRF modernization with advanced drones, and district-level drone stations. He praised Home Guards’ efforts during disasters, including saving 3,600 lives and ₹10,000 crore worth of property.
