South Central Railway will run about 150 special trains for Sankranti 2026 to handle heavy travel. Over 600 trains will operate overall. Some trains are shifted from Secunderabad due to redevelopment. Telangana officials are also preparing highways, expecting 1 lakh vehicles daily, and planning steps to reduce congestion and toll delays during festival season.
